Privacy and your data

Clear information about your study tools, account, and access.

Information used by your account

Windsock360 stores your email address, optional profile name, and password verification information to operate your account. Study progress, review schedules, notes, highlights, preferences, training records, custom aircraft, and purchase access are associated with your account when you use those features.

Instructor connections

If you identify as a CFI, your certificate number is encrypted and self-declared, not FAA verified. Students must sign in and agree before an instructor can see their display name, study metrics, and item-level difficulties (missed questions, missed or shaky flashcards, briefs needing review, cumulative review counts, and latest recorded results). Private notes, aircraft, purchases, and account details are not shared. Either participant can disconnect in the CFI workspace or My instructors to stop access. Invitation links expire after 30 days and can be replaced or disabled.

Recorded study attempts

Signed-in study submissions and tool knowledge checks retain the item and content revision, selected answer, answer key and result, or self-rating, study mode, and recording time. Dynamic tool results are browser-reported and are kept separate from server-graded course accuracy. Tool answers may wait in account-scoped device storage for an online retry. Administrators can use this history for learning and content-quality reports. A progress reset starts current study tracking over but keeps recorded attempts. Account deletion removes the account link from retained attempt records. Older cumulative progress cannot be reconstructed into individual attempts.

On this device

Sign-in cookies keep your session active. Device storage remembers settings such as your appearance and supports study tools. Signing out ends access on that device; it does not delete the account's saved data.

Payments and support

Stripe handles payment-card entry. Windsock360 records purchase and access information to unlock your modules. Content reports include your account information, page context, and the note you submit, so support can investigate. Do not include sensitive personal information in report notes.

Manage your information

Use My Account to manage available settings. Reset study progress clears only the selected module's progress and keeps aircraft and other personal data. Contact support@windsock360.com with privacy, export, retention, or account-deletion questions. A progress reset is not an account-deletion request.
